Practice areas: Emily focuses primarily on all legal issues surrounding Medicaid; Medicaid Planning, Eligibility and Applications. She also has experience in nearly every facet of the Article 81 Guardianship process, including Court Evaluator reports and accountings.

 

Education: City University School of Law / Juris Doctorate. Scripps College / Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.

 

Memberships: NYSBA Elder Law Section, NYC Bar Association, New York County Lawyers Association.

 

Emily is passionate about the rights of elders and has worked for The Guardianship Project at the Vera Institute of Justice as the Compliance Coordinator, managing client assets and securities while maintaining client benefit eligibility. At the Weinberg Center for Elder Abuse Prevention she detailed the rights of incapacitated elders in cases of physical, financial, and psychological abuse.

She has also been a Care Management Associate working with guardians, healthcare professionals, home health aides and family members to ensure appropriate levels of care are in place for those in need.
